Welcome
What cognitive and metacognitive processes do students engage
in as they read, write, and spell? Strategy based instruction offers
explicit, systematic, procedural staff development to assist
teachers in delivering instruction through gradual release and
students learning through cognitive procedures that lead to
metacognition.

Overview
Many times you walk into a school and find multiple instructional practices under the
same roof. Teachers (unknowingly or knowingly) are not supporting each other's
instruction and learning environments. Children are the first casualties of this
phenomenon. At Strategy Based Instruction, we believe that consistent instructional
practices, learning environments, and student scaffolding empower children as they
move through the grade levels. Every teacher, working with every child (in some
capacity), every day is the mantra that we embrace. To this end, all staff development
has a consistent focus of Every Teacher, Every Child, Every Day!
